Sunshine yellow
Bright yellow is certainly the colour of the season. In fact, Pantone too has announced Primrose Yellow as one of the trending shades of 2017. The colour is bold, bright and beautiful, and at the same time extremely feminine.
Wear the trend: A solid-coloured maxi with gold accessories like a gold coloured belt, shoes or earrings looks quite glamorous. A printed yellow maxi or kaftan with hues like red, cream, black and earthy brown, accented with tassels, has a very boho chic vibe to it, and is extremely stylish for a brunch date. Ruffles are feminine, soft and trendy. They can be used to create a work look, a casual day in the sun look, brunch look and also an evening look. The best part is they can be created in any fabric depending on whether you want structured ruffles for couture, red carpet gown or flowy ones in a linen shirt or georgette dress.
Wear the trend: For work, team a ruffled shirt with a smart linen jacket and ankle length skinny pants. For a casual day out, pick a maxi, jumpsuit or short dress with layered ruffles in light hues like ice-blue, cream, light pink and other cooling pastel shades. Wear an off shoulder gown or dress in darker but bright shades like turquoise, teal, tomato red, chrome yellow for the evening.
