The ugly spat has ended up in the County Court, with Ms Grace saying that Mr Moore deliberately set out to damage her acting school’s reputation.

The case centres on an email sent in Ms Grace’s name, claiming that a teacher at the Geelong school had abused a student.

Ms Grace claims the email was sent by Mr Moore to tarnish her acting school and discredit its senior teacher Luke Saliba.

Mr Saliba, who has also appeared on Winners and Losers, and Ms Grace’s Mooregrace Acting Studio have filed a writ in the County Court accusing Mr Moore of deliberately setting out to damage their reputations.

According to the statement of claim, Mr Moore, who until the couple’s recent split was also a director of the acting studio, allegedly accessed the school’s email account in September last year and sent out a bogus email in Ms Grace’s name.

The email was sent to everyone on the studio’s email contact list and claimed a parent with a long association with the school had accused Mr Saliba of “inappropriate behaviour” with a student.

“We are shocked and upset,” the email says.

“Although we stand behind all our teaching staff, we take these complaints very seriously. I can assure you that Luke will no longer be working at Mooregrace until we have all of the answers. It is a very sad day for Mooregrace, as Luke is loved by many of our students and staff.”

The email promises to keep the recipients updated and looks forward to “starting term 4 with positivity, love and compassion”.

Mr Moore admitted to the Herald Sun he sent the emails but claimed he was provoked and wanted to “scare” Mr Saliba into taking him seriously as his marriage and his life spiralled out of control.

Mr Moore said he was “totally ashamed” of his actions and had now resolved the matter with his ex-wife.

“I have learnt how to let go of poisonous negative thoughts and I am now trying to rebuild my life slowly,” he said.

Ms Grace said she needed to clear the studio’s name.

“Although (Paul’s) done some things that are really hurtful I want the best for him,” she said.

Mooregrace Acting Studios opened in 2006, after the then friends spent a semester in Los Angeles at an acting school, to “combine their two loves; acting and teaching”.

Mr Moore proposed to Ms Grace in 2007 on the game show Deal or No Deal where he also won $48,000 that went towards helping establish the studio.

Prior to their split Mr Moore, who plays Wes Fitzpatrick on Winners and Losers, said acting and teaching helped him deal with anxiety.

“I see a lot of myself in these kids and I don’t want them to have the inner demon that I had when I was their age,” he told the Geelong Advertiser.

“My job is to make sure that they have the best, most positive life possible.”

Ms Grace, who now runs the studio alone, plays the opinionated character Bridget Gross on Winners and Losers and has had guest roles in Blue Heelers, Neighbours and Canal Road.

The writ alleges the email purportedly written by Ms Grace was defamatory and understood to mean that Mr Saliba had engaged in misconduct of such seriousness that he had been dismissed and charged by police.

It says the email’s claims also suggest the studio failed to provide a safe learning environment and keep its students safe, and employed teachers who prey on its students.

As a result Mr Saliba and the studio claim they have been held up to public ridicule and contempt and seriously injured in their reputation.

Mr Saliba claims he has also suffered hurt and embarrassment and been seriously injured in his feelings.

They are seeking unspecified aggravated damages, claiming the email’s content has no basis in reality, was published under a “cloak of authenticity” and was calculated to damage their reputations.Read more at:white prom dresses | blue prom dresses

At a panel at SXSW entitled “Beyond the Interface: Designing Wearables We Love,” designer Pauline van Dongen was showing off new concepts at the very interesting intersection of technology and fashion. We got to sit down with her after the panel to get her perspective on the future of wearable technology.

Pauline started off her career firmly on the fashion side of tech, and is currently wearing her “intelligent denim jacket” called ISSHO, at a coffee shop on Congress Street in downtown Austin. The windows let in bright, Texas, sunlight that highlights the classic character of this jacket—a deep blue interspersed with lines of conductive thread on the sleeves. It’s a fashion statement that fits in well with the current street style on showcase at SXSW this year.

Pauline studied fashion at an art school called Artez. Her style as a designer is minimalist, in the tradition of the “more Nordic countries,” who she explains share a more simplistic style of design than some of their more southern neighbors. Her designs revolve around more square cuts and shapes that organically drape around the body to allow a free sense of movement. There is a certain amount of self-evidence that emerges in the clarity of her design visions.

Her vision is for the technology of her wearables is to have the tech more closely integrated into the garments. She tries to have the technology concepts designed early on so that the process constantly works with and around the technology, so that the tech in the final project is a more “integral part of it,” which she describes as being crucial to her vision.

Pauline describes fashion and wearable technology as part of the same continuum—warning that you might need to change your perceptions here and there—but, in the end, the technology must be viewed as “another medium.” In a way, fashion is already technology, especially performance wear that has functional intentions and advanced fabric technology, yet “we don’t put that in the wearable tech corner because we take it for granted what it allows us to do.”

Her intention with wearable technology is to make garments that fit into our lives with greater ease. The denim jacket project was started as part of that approachable vision, because she sees that it’s not that far away from what we are already wearing.

“I was interested in denim because it’s not dependent on age or social background or location, so I thought that would be an interesting material because I thought that people could identify with it,” says Pauline.

The material also serves the function of the jacket because denim, according to her observations, is a durable material that’s strong enough to protect the electronics. The way it works is that the jacket responds and reacts to the behavior of the wearer. It was designed around the metaphor of denim as a familiar friend.

Pauline explains that the jacket registers social interactions like “meeting people” or “being hugged.” If the user is constantly removing their smartphone from their pocket, the jacket counts that as well. The jacket is “autonomous,” which Pauline explains as non-reliant on smartphones or other external technologies. It uses conductive yarns integrated with industrial weaving threaded throughout the garment. They enter through a cable to a small micro-controller and a small rechargeable battery—wearable for up to a week without recharging. It deactivates itself when not in use.

In response to the behavior of the user, Pauline explains that the jacket gives feedback in the form of “gentle stroking” from four vibration motors located on the upper back of the jacket. They rise slightly, like an exaggerated impression of the spine. Pauline describes a moment when she was wearing the jacket on the bus and it activated, producing its programmed reassurance. She describes how “it felt like the jacket was talking to me.” The intention of the jacket is to remind the wearer of living in the moment, being present in exactly where they are right now.

Pauline looks quite at home in this coffee shop. The warm afternoon sun filters in and adds a rich depth to the deep blue hue of the denim. This friendly jacket is a simple statement in an ambitious direction. In this moment, she appears quite at peace with her present. Perhaps the jacket has helped.Read more at:marieprom | prom dress shops uk

Adorned fur: Simone Rocha
(Photo:evening dresses uk)

It happens like clockwork: the runway shows wrap up and fashion editors scramble to select the standout looks that took the FROW by storm. Then the fun starts - planning our outfits. The autumn-winter 2017 forecast promises a tantalising array of new trends, plus some twists on old ones. Take note, as these looks will undoubtedly shape next season's street style.

1. Seeing red

Consider your winter coat sorted. After multiple seasons of pinks, red has flooded the runways in deeply dramatic hues of oxblood, burgundy and crimson, most notably in delectable outwear at Fendi and Max Mara.

2. Adorned fur

For sheer luxury that can be worn day or night, fur stole the show at Michael Kors, Prada and Simone Rocha. With bedazzled brooches and colourful embellishments, we can assure you that these are far from your granny's furs.

3. Duvet coats

If you dream of having a duvet day, or at least wrapping yourself up as you head for the bus, you're in luck - come autumn, this will officially be an option. Last season's puffer coat has evolved, giving rise to more padded and quilted styles.

4. Architectural ruffles

Ruffles have made a seamless transition from spring but for the coming season they are bolder and more architectural, giving everything from day dresses and t-shirts to eveningwear a dramatic touch of femininity. Every style star worth her weight in Instagram likes will be adorned with these beauties, with Saint Laurent's sultry minidresses likely to be top of the wishlist.

5. Leather

Super soft leather was a recurring theme at the Paris shows. At YSL, it was part homage to the 80s but also a dramatic step into the future, where leather mini dresses come with sculptural sleeves and shearling lining. Taking over the Louvre, Nicolas Ghesquiere presented long, polished coats and chain-trimmed jackets at Louis Vuitton.

6. Oversized

The female fashion crowd are notorious for stealing things from the men's section and making them all their own (just look at the ubiquitous boyfriend jeans). Next season it is oversized coats - similar to what we wear now, but in what look like men's sizes. Kim Kardashian is already a fan, working the "shoulder robing" (shrobing) look in an oversized Balenciaga trench before her robbery in October. Perhaps she's more fashion forward than people give her credit for.

7. Gold

Gold is not always the easiest colour to wear but for autumn, designers have turned to the darker, more forgiving shades of saffron and burnt ochre. Jason Wu delivered deep golden hues in knitted jumpers and coats, along with dazzling velvet dresses and jumpsuits - a sunny solution for end-of-summer blues.

8. Bucket hats

Tired of bobble hats and beanies? If you're brave enough, there's a new hat in town: the bucket hat. Looks like the fashion powers that be have been taking inspiration from Pharrell, as these brimmed hats were all over Marc Jacobs' catwalk (above). We'll be watching closely to see if this hair raiser takes off on the high street.Read more at:prom dress shops uk

Spring in each step

Spring in each step
(Photo:http://www.marieprom.co.uk/formal-dresses-uk)

Mona

Spring is here and as you try to match the lovely hues of nature spread around, it works well to spruce up your wardrobe. Take the yellow from the season and offset the rising temperature with some whites, here is all that’s making noise in the fashion world.

Sunshine yellow

Bright yellow is certainly the colour of the season. In fact, Pantone too has announced Primrose Yellow as one of the trending shades of 2017. The colour is bold, bright and beautiful, and at the same time extremely feminine.

Wear the trend: A solid-coloured maxi with gold accessories like a gold coloured belt, shoes or earrings looks quite glamorous. A printed yellow maxi or kaftan with hues like red, cream, black and earthy brown, accented with tassels, has a very boho chic vibe to it, and is extremely stylish for a brunch date. A mini kaftan or a short dress in the colour is also a trendy choice for a sunny day out. — Designer Pria Kataaria Puri

Ruffles relay

Ruffles are feminine, soft and trendy. They can be used to create a work look, a casual day in the sun look, brunch look and also an evening look. The best part is they can be created in any fabric depending on whether you want structured ruffles for couture, red carpet gown or flowy ones in a linen shirt or georgette dress.

Wear the trend: For work, team a ruffled shirt with a smart linen jacket and ankle length skinny pants. For a casual day out, pick a maxi, jumpsuit or short dress with layered ruffles in light hues like ice-blue, cream, light pink and other cooling pastel shades. Wear an off shoulder gown or dress in darker but bright shades like turquoise, teal, tomato red, chrome yellow for the evening. Keep the accessories minimal, and hair and make-up simple, as the ruffles itself add a lot of oomph and glamour to you. — Designer Karn Malhotra

Cape call

A must have for this season is a cape.

Wear a trend: Capes can be worn with your gown, anarkalis or teamed as a separate over jeans, skirts; anything that you fancy. Stick to pastel shades of peaches, champagne, pinks and blues. Wanna add some shimmer? Go for sequins, which is big this season as far as embellishments are concerned. —Designer Charu Prashar

Serene white

Winter giving in way to spring makes a strong case for white to be included in your closet.

Wear the trend: White lower, paired with pastels on top is what suits the season the best. And, there are options galore. Go for well-fitted denims in white; pair it with icy shades like pale ice blue, pale sea green or powder pink and you are set to own the day. If on the heavier side, look for crop pants in white showing ankles with flats. Experiment with pleated drape skirt. — Designer Gaurav Jagtiani

Fringe fable

Fringes are ‘the’ trend this year. It is an extremely versatile trend that can be used minimally or as an exaggerated detailing.

Wear the trend: Choose glimmering metal fringes to dazzle the night in a sexy silhouette, like a flowy gown. Fringes made from intricate thread-work create a delicate flow for a day-look in a cape saree, poncho or top. Use fringes in hemlines or as accents across your outfit for a boho-chic look. Capes accented with fringes and embellishments add instant pizzazz to your outfit for a cocktail or mehendi function.Read more at:http://www.marieprom.co.uk/cocktail-dresses-uk

OK, so I don’t normally dedicate the whole column to what went on in my week, but hey, it was LONDON FASHION WEEK!

And it was slightly crazy. I don’t think I’ve ever been out so much in my life!

There are so many great parties and events and clothes, I just couldn’t resist. So, it was a week of fashion and fun for me, and then a prom dresses manchester that divided opinion and brought out the body shamers – but more on that later.

The week started for me at the River Island fashion week party at the Serpentine, which was amazing. I spotted supermodel Erin O Conner there, who is absolutely stunning.

I didn’t stay long at the party as I had another two events the next day. On Saturday it was off to the SpongeBob event!

It was a collection in collaboration with a few designers I love who used SpongeBob as their inspiration. I pretty much wanted everything from the collection, it was deadly.

I wore an outfit from VeryExclusive for that event, and I’m obsessed with my jumper, which is House of Holland X Umbro.

I went home to chill out for a bit after that event and then it was time to get ready for the Maybelline party in central London with my best pal, hairdresser Matthew Feeney.

The party was really good and I ended up getting my ears pierced at it. I forgot how sore ear piercings are – I’m going to stop at the eight that I have now.

We decided to head out to Shoreditch House after the event and met up with loads of friends, which meant Sunday was a complete write-off for me.

Monday was my craziest day; it was non stop from 6.30am to 11pm that evening. I go to my physio every day at 7.30am for two hours to strengthen my knee for the operation so I did that before anything else.

After physio I headed home for hair and make up by Secret Spa and then it was off to the Aspinal showings. I adore Aspinal bags and wear them quite a lot, so couldn’t wait to see the new collection.

Their events are always jam-packed and I even spotted Nicole Scherzinger there.

After Aspinal it was off to Very Exclusive to view their new collection. I wear so much of their stuff and basically need everything from the new season.

After that I went off to the Vin and Omi show. I’ve been friends with the boys for ages and walked in their show as well. I wasn’t able to walk this year with my knee brace so they had me DJ the after-party instead. I wore a Kenzo dress from Very Exclusive to the show and then the boys gave me the coolest dress to DJ in.

It was a dress that divided opinion for sure, but I loved it and it was great as a stage outfit. I saw a lot of comments about the dress and of course my weight and to be honest I literally didn’t give a hoot what anyone said.

I can’t train properly at the moment and I’ve put on a little weight, but why would I stress about it?

My last event on Monday was the Universal Brits Nominees party. They had Jonas Blue playing so I stayed for him and then jetted off to Nandos with my pals. I wore a dress by Spotted on Celeb, leather jacket from Warehouse and my new favourite boots from River Island.

On Tuesday I had a great meeting about TV work over here and I’m so excited for this year.

After my meeting it was off home again to get ready for my next event, which was for such a great cause. Philip Baldwin is a gay rights activist and was speaking at the LGBT History Month event.

On Wednesday I was meant to attend the Brits parties, but I was just so tired that I skipped it. I had my operation on Thursday so I needed to rest up.

I will be out of my operation by the time you read this so hopefully it will be all good.

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif was in the UAE last week to walk the runway for Splash at Mall of the Emirates.

She was wearing a black jumpsuit with floral embroidery from the label when we met to chat about fashion and her plans for 2017.

What does fashion mean to you?

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif: ‘Fashion should be uniquely your own’

aI think it should be accessible. It should be something that’s uniquely your own. It should complement your mood and your personality. It should be easy.

Do you feel pressured dressing for the red carpet?

This whole trend of dressing up for the red carpet and big events is something that happened in the past few years. Before, when I used to go to a premiere of one of my films, I would just pick a celebrity inspired dresses out of my closet.

I think it’s with the age of social media and the whole digital thing – Instagram – everybody has started this trend of high-fashion dressing for events.

Sometimes it’s fun – you get to play dress-up for a night – but the way it was before, when we used to put on anything and it wasn’t that important, that was also a nice way to be.

What are your plans for the rest of this year?

There will be a film of mine releasing in May called Jagga Jasoos, and then I will be starring in Ek Tha Tiger.

Some Bollywood actresses, most notably Priyanka Chopra, are shifting to Hollywood. Is this something you would consider?

You never know where your path can take you, I never say no to anything in life. You’ll never know until that moment comes.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want with you?

Oh God, that’s tricky. A nice person for company, good food, and maybe an item or two of clothing.

This bride shouted her love from the mountaintops — quite literally — in her homemade wedding gown.

Clara and Ryan Orland, of Columbia, South Carolina, hiked 3 miles in their fancy attire to get married atop Looking Glass Rock in North Carolina.

The beautiful location in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains is special to the couple, making the decision to tie the knot there an easy one.

PHOTO: Bride Clara Orland hand-crocheted her dress to get married on top Looking Glass Rock in North Carolina.

“Ryan took me to Pisgah Forest a few weeks after we started dating,” Clara, 24, told ABC News. “He proposed at Moore Cove Trail as well. We make it a point to go camping there every year.”

To make the unconventional ceremony even more magical, Clara crocheted her own wedding celebrity dresses, which took four months and less than $100 to complete.

“I started crocheting about five years ago and when I started looking for a wedding dress I wasn't too happy with what I saw,” the bride explained. “I ended up buying a dress and hating it. February of 2016 I got the idea to make it myself and it stuck. I tried a couple of things before the pattern I ended up with.”

Including the newlyweds, there 15 people that made the hike to watch their “I do’s.”

“Originally it was going to be a smaller group since we assumed not many people would want to hike up but we were wrong,” she laughed. “The hike took about three hours, but we were all sticking together.”

The happy couple and their guests enjoyed dinner afterward in Boone, North Carolina, where they rented a cabin for the weekend to celebrate the woodsy nuptials in style.
